YSN had the pleasure of providing entertainment for the George Lopez Foundation “Breakin All The Rules,” a fundraising event to benefit the Painted Turtle Kidney Disease and Transplant Camps, at Salon Passione, in Pasadena, on Sunday, October 16, 2011. The event featured a photo booth, makekovers, celebrity chef Aaron J, plus various other sponsors and supporters. George Lopez had the attendees busting at the seems with his spicy one liners and he conducted an impromptu “Who’s Got Talent” audition when he asked any one with a talent to get on the mic. YSN would like to thank Carmen Torres for allowing us to be a part of such a great evening!

The 2011 NCLR ALMA Awards capped off the star-studded show taping with the official People En Español/NCLR VIP Post-Party on Saturday, September 10 at the Santa Monica Place in Santa Monica, California. This is the second year that People En Español and NCLR teamed up to present the official after-party to congratulate and celebrate the evening’s ALMA Awards winners.

After an entertaining and energy-filled show, celebration of some of the most prolific Latinos in the entertainment industry moved right into the VIP Post-Party, where celebrities, industry influencers, and NCLR leadership toasted and danced the night away with the help of Grammy and ALMA Award–winning Los Angeles-based band Ozomatli. Eva Longoria, Co-Host and Executive Producer of the ALMA Awards, continued her hosting duties, welcoming celebrity guests and engaging the help of friend and Moët spokesperson Kate del Castillo in leading a champagne toast to the ALMA Awards honorees.

The VIP Post-Party was produced by Benjamin N. Torres of The Event Division, Inc. in partnership with NCLR. Attendees were welcomed by the evening’s co-sponsors from the moment they arrived. A 2011 Chevrolet Corvette greeted guests as they walked the path of past ALMA Awards honorees, and party goers could drop off their phone at the AT&T charging station on their way to grab a glass of Moët champagne, or a Pepsi for the night’s designated driver. It was a spectacular evening that allowed guests an opportunity to mingle, network, and dance under the stars at the beautiful Sonoma Wine Gardens and the upper dining deck of Santa Monica Place in Santa Monica, CA

Performance Team’s Summer Picnic – Point Fermin Park

For the 6th. Year, YSN was invited to be a part of Performance Teams annual summer picnic. YSN provided a wide range of Latin, English music and bilingual MC services for 6 hours and 1,000 people at Point Fermin Park in San Pedro. The Hawaiian Luau themed event included, clown face painting, volleyball, water balloon toss, sack races, pinatas and the ever popular gift raffle. During the raffle, YSN’s Luis Ayala drew numbers and gave away some great prizes including flat screen T.V.’s, PSP gaming units and tons of gift cards. The whole afternoon was filled with great fun and excitement and you could see it on all the families happy faces. Thanks to Susan and her wonderful team for another great summer picnic. We’ll see you next year!

USMC Makes A Splash At Laguna Beach Wedding

Saturday July 30th, YSN had the pleasure of being part of a special union at the Tivoli Terrace in Laguna Beach. United States Marine Corps Captain David Wright, who has just recently returned from a tour of duty in Afghanistan, embarked on a whole new exciting mission in his life, marrying his sweetheart Artcha. The ceremony was officiated by a Navy chaplain and a USMC sword detail was on hand to welcome the newlywed couple as they walked down the aisle as husband and wife. The Saturday morning wedding was very quaint and intimate and the backdrop of the Laguna Arts Festival added to the ambiance of the afternoon. It was a pleasure to serve those who serve us in ways we can never really comprehend. YSN’s Luis Ayala is a USMC veteran who served in the Gulf war

DJ Diego Rocks The Petroleum Club in Long Beach

YSN’s newest addition is DJ Diego Romero and this past weekend he was on the decks rocking a graduation party for over 200 people at the Petroleum Club in Long Beach. Diego played dance, hip hop and assorted music for the 18+ crowd and he had an uplighting set that changed the colors of the stage instantly. Diego rocked the Numark NS7 along with QSC powered speakers. YSN is pleased to have Diego join the YSN family and he will be performing at upcoming youth and college oriented events!
